Need a new car

I'm going to get a new car pretty soon, maybe even tomorrow or Friday. I've been looking at the last style of cavaliers, cobalts, focus hatchbacks, and the newer stratus (all 2-doors). anybody got any other ideas? I dont want to spend more than 7k I want to keep it under 70k miles 03 or newer, something kinda sporty but good on gas.:">
Thanks

Focus are easy to mod and relatively cheap, stratus are known for tranny problems and there 2.4 motors ave always hade timing belt issue and on that motor very expensive to fix,the cobalt dont know that much about but cavaliers reliable but not much balls.i don't know if you like mustangs but u can find mid 90's 6 bangers for cheap but make sure not much more than 80k on it because a notorious motor for head gaskets the 3.8 unless u know the car was maintained properly

whatever you do dont get an audi or vw ,unless you like working on it all the time
i love em but they are very tempermental
ive had a couple of honda accords ,real good on gas and pretty sporty
you should look inton maybe an older wrx ,pretty good on gas and plenty of fun too

out of the cars you said, the focus would be the best choice. if you can drive a stick, get the svt model.
also look at nissan and honda, both known for reliability and gas mileage.
does it have to be a 2dr and if so why?

what about a celica? its a toyota so its good on gas, very sporty, can get mods as well. i think they stopped making in 03-04 so yea

get a low mileage 4th gen maxima. they run great, low maintance, and able to fit 5 people easily. my old one had 240K mi, on it before it finally took a sh*t. if you want something quick, a 300zx but they stopped making them in 96. and the 96 or 95 are the ones to get. here you go, but you will need a little more than 7K - eBay Motors: Nissan : 300ZX (item 260315646076 end time Nov-20-08 13:29:34 PST)

I'm going to take out a loan so it needs to be a 03 or newer so I can get a good intrest rate. I can get a lot more than 7k if I need but I just dont want to unless I have to.
As far as the 300zx. to much of a pain to work on. no room under the hood. And you have to take off the fender to change the battery. but they are fast and would be fun to drive. At least this guy seems to like them

honda is ur best choice. a gazillion after market parts and change the timing belt around 80k and she will treat u right. i have 160000 on my honda 97 civic and i have never had a problem.

that guy has a badass garage. it looks to be atleast 2 cars deep with huge lift on one side and a single car lift on the other.
look at getting a honda (civic, accord), maybe an acura (cl-s, integra), nissan (350z, maxima, se-r, v-spec) toyota (celica, mr2), ford (focus svt)
also with the 300zx bein hard to work on, all nissan are hard to work on. but they rarely need to be worked one. my old maxima needed a new water pump, part was $50, they said the labor was $500. it has an internal water pump, it was a biotch to replace, replaced it at the same time we replace the tranny (needed a rear main seal, put one in didn't fix, just bought a low mileage tranny for $300) this was at 200K mi. i have a sentra now. a small little car but it moves decent.

get a cobalt ss. if you can find one cheap enough, the are supercharged 4cyls, im pretty sure its like 22 to the gallon? idk too much about them but from what ive seen there is no problems and ive heard that they are really under-estimated.

Hey, I have a couple Impala's and a crown Vic for sale. One of the Impala's is on ebay. They are ex-police cruisers. I buy them regularly from police departments that retire them. If anyones looking for good daily drivers, let me know. lately i have only been buying the best of the ones they are selling but if you guys want something to fix up, I can get some of the cheap ones and give you guys good deals! I have 2 2001 Impala's with under 75k and one 04 crown vic with 64k right now for sale.

Ignore the guy who said that the cobalt supercharged sucked. The LSJ in that car will go over 150k, it handles like a dream (except for the steering knuckles breaking very occasionally), and for under 1.5k in modifications if done right it'll run the quarter mile in mid 13's. If this was me I'd get either the celica gts, cobalt ss/sc, or an ITR. But don't listen to me... I just drive a blazer :)
