So ive got me a blaster project going and was wanting some feedback on those items. Any good or bad news about either? Any other suggestions? Its just a stock motor going to be bored .20 over and a pipe. So my question is, is the Tusk clutches any good for the price? What about the piston? Thanks for any info.

I would recommend a wiseco piston, but thats JMO.I've never had experience with the other piston brands, but wiseco are known for their quality.
As for the clutch, I believe there are quite a few members running tusk clutches without any problems, they should be able to help you out more with that.

Well wiesco is my first thought, but just trying a cheap rebuild here. Just getting some opinions.
There fine pistons. I ran one in my yz for some time and never had a problem. IMO spend the extra couple bucks and get a wiseco.
Thats how I feel.
I was in a pinch when my topend went a few months back and went with a namura, I have yet to have a problem... I guess when I pull the top off in the next month or so that will tell thhe ture story.

I've heard great reviews on the Tusk Clutch kits. I'm using a vitos hp clutch kit. Installed in early october and havn't had a problem and i ride hard!!!!
when istalling the the clutch kit..... there is a silver ring that is last when taking out the clutch plates.... this ring has to be taken out right and not used with the tusk plates?
hey i have a complete .20 over piston kit. wiseco. and vitos complete gasket set. i think i have it posted for 75 + shipping but dont quote me on it. check it out in the marketplace.
