My wonderful swingarm bearings (or whats left of them)

Finally took off the swingarm today to find that the bearings are toasted and I'm pretty sure they have siezed right to the housing. I've tried using a bearing puller to get the bearing cases out only to chip and break off pieces of them.

I guess my options are to try and mill it out and hope to not take off too much material or I could buy an extended swinger as an upgrade. Anyone know where to get one besides ebay? Such a shame the original owner neglected a blaster this much X(

stock swingarms are pretty cheap as well..

heres what i did find a socket that fits perfectly in there but wont go trought the bearing put it in the middle the get a pipe and hammer and beat it out

^Thanks I'll try that tomarrow. I tried using a punch but that was chipping it away too. I would have thought an OEM swingarm would be far more expensive than an aftermarket swinger considering aftermarket bearings and such are cheaper than OEM ones. Either way if I end up getting a new one I'll go with a +2 or +3. Heck, I'll try to mill it out and if it doesn't work new swingarm for me!

Last time I had that problem I used an AWLwth a long taper and pounded it between the case and the housing. If it works correctly it makes the case collapse into itself, then you can just tap it out.

Sounds like you may have a chance to upgrade... That's always a good thing. Good luck on getting them out.

Ok I got them out.. first I tried using an arbor press and a socket but pushing out both bearings at once was a no-go. So I used a dremel to grind off a section of the bearing and then a hammer and chisel to pick them out.

I'll post pics of the full rebuild soon as I'm done, I just ordered a toomey b-1 pipe, v force reeds, a full wheel bearing kit, full engine seal and gasket kit, and a wiseco piston. I'm probably going to order some new wheels and tires and maybe some nerf bars..
