My rebuild thread.

So I'm gonna start a thread about the build. I pretty much got everything now. I scored a OEM crank for 30 bucks which is getting rebuilt. And I just received these babies as a set for under 100 bucks. As you can see in the pics there's light chain damage, and slight damage in the crank area. However, the mating surfaces are great, and no cracks.

Before you do anything, stick your clutch actuator in there and make sure it turns freely. If that checks out OK, take them and a 6pack of Henry's down to your local transmission shop and get them to throw them in the "parts dishwasher" for about 30 minutes.

Does it work well? How long do you keep them in there?

Its worked good for me ive cleaned lots of car cylinder heads that way, leave them in for half hour or so, you can scrub them some in there too, I use a toilet brush for the scrubbing
