now my shift lever feels like loose like up and down it shifts into gears and still runs and rides i stalled it out when i was trying to turn around on a trail i feel like its stuck in gear and i cant seem to find neutral the lever is like hanging down farther then it shouold be what is is and how can i fix it

Sounds like a problem with the either the clutch, push rods and ball, or the adjustment mechanism thats on your pressure plate. How old is your clutch ? When I rebuilt my motor I didn't put my clutch plates on in the right order at first, once I corrected that problem I had to use the adjuster mechanism on the pressure plate to set the right length of the push rod. I'd drain your tranny oil, take off the right side/clutch cover and remove the pressure plate. Then lean your quad over to the right side to get the ball and the inner push rod out. Reinstall the first push rod, then the little ball, then the pushrod #2 and mess with the adjuster in the pressure plate by loosening the nut and screwing the pushrod in or out with a Phillips screw driver and keep messing with your clutch and shifter to see if the the clutch is engaging and shifting into gear. Also measure your clutch plates and pressure plates and compare the measurements with the specs in the manual to make sure you don't need a new clutch ( clutch and pressure plates ).

like when i use my shifter lever when the quads off and not running it just keeps shifting its like its not catching whatever needs to be its real loose like moving it up or down like it moves to easy i just bought the quad thursday everything was just rebuilt

That's what happened to me to, it just kept shifting. Your clutch isn't engaging and your not in a gear, and its not going into gear. Just remove your clutch case ( drain oil first ) and take off the pressure plate on the clutch,( the first push rod is attached to the pressure plate )the ball, and the second push rod. After that press the shifter and find where it makes contact with the gears to ensure it is making contact. Then just put the push rod back in, followed by the little ball then the second push rod/pressure plate ( again they should be attached to eachother ). After you tighten the five screws and springs you'll need a wrench and small phillips head, loosen the nut on the pressure plate and move the screw in or out ( it may need to go in or out ) a little at a time. Hold the screw in place with the phillips head and tighten the nut. Check to see if your clutch is engaging ( the pressure plate will move out when you pull in your clutch lever ) and shifting into gears. You might have to adjust that little screw ( the end of the push rod ) a bunch of times until its at the right length. It make take a bunch of tries but I promise this will fix your problem

Underneath the bottom end of the motor, it will be the only screw down there and I believe its a 12 or 14 mm. I use Honda trans oil sae 80w/85w ... But you can use like yamalube 4 or any comparable 10w30 motor oil for the transmission only. The engine oil is a different type of oil

The plug can be a beast to remove, take it easy not to roung it.

Refill with 10w 30 motor oil which containS no friction modifiers, Motor cycle gear oil designed for wet clutches, or Auto trans fluid type F.

Refill with 650ml of oil, no more, no less.

Could be a few things.

Has the motor been apart for any repairs? Has the shift lever been removed?
If so two things come to mind, Broken shift shaft spring, or as simple a putting the lever on to low you should be able to get your foot under it with out lifting it off the peg.

Also could be a clutch issue as stated.
