These are pics of the plug chop this morning with my 240BBK and the new pwk 35.Im running a 45/158 and a CEL needle in middle clip.

The thing starts/revs/runs great but...the electrode is greyish in color and the siliencer was smoking earlier but i do squirt a healthy amount of of premix in the cylinder when i winterize the motor and this was the first start since then so it could be the oil in the steel wool packing that was smoking i dont know.

So what do you guys think? One more on the main?

Did you warm it up on That plug? The pics are a little blurred and I can't really see the color

No i didnt i warmed it up the other plug that was in it then hit an acess road swapped plugs and nailed it then came to a stop swapped them back and went home.

The rings are very faint.Im going to order a couple jets and go up a size or two.

What are those of you with my mods or similar and the pwk35's running for jet specs?

Yea thats the game plan. What jets do you guys suggest?I cant be the only one running a pwk35 carb on a BBK?

With a 158 main i figured id go 160/162/164 think ill be in the ball park?Or should i go bigger?I want it a little rich for when my g/f is riding since shes not in tune with what to listen for to prevent damage.

The bike starts and idles like a champ its just a tad lean on top i think but it rips hard through the rpm's so i cant be too far off.The CEL needle really woke it up so ill stay with it and the 45 pilot and just go bigger on the mains what you guys think?

Hey bud, I'm gonna have to say with a bbk you should start at 170 and the stock pilot is a 48! You may be lean on that 45.

I have a stock cylinder with 35mm and i was at 162 and 48 pilot. it was a tad rich but not black plug fouling rich! BBK has to need more than that.

Well............Looks like ill start at 170 then45 or 48 ill have to look again. But it definately runs great everywhere but up top it kinda runs outta steam it seems like it needs more fuel.

Theres no one besides myself with a 240BBK and this carb???

Come on seriously i cant be pioneering this!

Of all the members here i know im not the only one.

Thanks bro but that was of no help no ones running anything but stock carbs and i seen maybe 2 BBK's in all that.

I thought there would be a lot more 240bbk and aftermarket carb set ups.Is that not the only way to truely see the potential of the 240bbk good carb and good exhaust?

S with my mods what are your jetting opinions?

Wheres a safe number to start like i said i want it a little rich the stock blaster was fast enough for her but i traded it for the shee.Shes rode my blaster before and has no issues controlling it but its the lack of knowing what to listen for to prevent a catastrophic failure that worries me so id like a little cushion .

Im new to the pwk35 carb but its a damn nice carb to tinker with and everythings so easy to get at and set up.i really like it and definitely prefer its design over the mikunis.

I disagree^^^^ I'm not saying 170 is where it will be just a starting point!

I'm stickin to my guns and saying you should start at 170! I understand every situation and motor is different, but my experience with the 35mm is it seems to like it a bit bigger than most. Freek is the only other memeber I know that has a BBK and 35mm carb!
I wanna say he is in the 160ish range but don't hold me to that.
No one other post has a 35mm carb, why would I just make sh*t up? I say if it were my motor that is where i'd start. Do what ya like!

I agree with slick, always start large, especially if you find no comparable set-up. It's better to waste $ on too large jet and maybe a plug as to waste a piston.

I have 162,165,168,170 mains think ill be in the ball park with those?Im going to the track/trails saturday so i hope so im going to grab a box of BR9ES plugs for some chops.

Cant belive theres not more of these carb/240 combos.

What are you guys with the 240's running for carburetion?
