My new car

Saying a truck can be more performance oriented than a car is just as absurd as saying a car can be more off road oriented than a truck.

I'm not gettin into this one but have a problem with your comment here....

For instance the new ford 150 raptor out surpasses a whole lot of cars

and my rallied WRX can destroy a good few of my friends trucks offroad ....

it depends on conditions really but that was a little overgeneralization

First off, where is the ricerocket comment coming from. I hate douches in their riced out civics more than you will ever know. Now if it's somebody that owns a civic, I have no problem with that. They are reliable and economical cars and very good cars at that.....way better than most "american" crap.....which just adds to the irony since the Civics are actually made in the US in Ohio.

It don't matter how much money you dump into a truck.......you will never reach a level a car will. This is the equivalent of me saying "Well if you dump a ton of money in a utility ATV, you can beat sport ATVs"..........yea.......if I take a renegade 800 and throw 5 grand into it, it will beat some ATVs in a straight line and maybe even some in the trails, but will you ever get it to the point where it's beating modded 450s on an MX course?...........NO. The exact same concept applies to trucks. This is the simple difference between a car and a truck. Saying a truck can be more performance oriented than a car is just as absurd as saying a car can be more off road oriented than a truck. 8-|

Your diesel makes a lot of low end torque.......yay......what about it? You need to torque to haul the truck's fat ass around and whatever it is hauling. What's the thing redline at? How much hp? You are taking the VERY narrow american mindset of "bigger/more is better", which just makes me laugh even more considering you own a blaster in a 2 stroke forum and should know better than that as it is already.

Your truck really goes well...........I'd love to see it take a lap at Mid-Ohio. 8-| You would be spanked by a lowly Miata with a tiny 1.6L engine. :D

Your right for once I wouldn't beat one on a lap but ill spank its ass in a straight line, hell i can load one up on a trailer and still spank its ass just like I spank most mustangs, camaros and whatever else wants to get beside me. Im not talking a worked stang or camaro. Most of em see nothing but the tail lights after they clear the huge cloud of smoke I left in there face. As far as hp im guessing im between 4 and 450 with my tuner and my other mode. For a crew cab diesel its no slouch. But anyways im done arguing with you over some dumb shiat because you know everything. Hopefully you will banned from here pretty soon as well with the BS you type.

hahahaha comparing apples to oranges is always fun

here is your argument in reverse

sure you car can do a lap really fast, but if i take that little wimpy miata on anything worse then a mildly bad gravel road, to a straight up mud trail, it will get spanked

there, that made about as much sense of an argument as u are saying

Wow way to beat up a topic which everyone has their own opinion about. Cars and trucks both have their uses in this world... I know you can get lots of power out of the f-250 but I'd like to see it reach 150mph like my cts. But that cts would get its ass handed to it under load... trucks are built to make massive torque and low end power that's y their rpm range is low.while they can be modded to help that they wont rev the 7000 rpms my cts will and handle it for that long because of the longer stroke of the motor. Each have great power and each can be modded to the extreme. Can we just leave this dead to rot. No need to keep kicking it

WTF happen in my thread.lol. I don't see where it matters if it's a car or truck. It's all about what you need and/ or want. I like cars better but I need a truck for many things I have to do. My Blaster won't fit in a trunk of a car and I can't pile the family in the truck for a conferrable long trip.

nice new car man..they are sure are giving the newer sedans some get up and go! 15.1 for a sedan like that is no slouch.

i like cars and trucks!
they both have their purposes.

Yeah cars are ok for their prupose , never really liked having a car , Love my truck though , My wife has a 05 Pilot , she says she'd never go back to a car either . I think LRD has everything all figured out and maybe he's developed a severe case of knowitallsyndrome , and he should be left alone to deal with it on his own terms .

LRD if you really wanna start smashing the reliability of American cars then go ahead and try. Because you know what, how many Jeeps from the 80s and 90s are still on the road, how many Chevy, Ford, and Dodge trucks from the 90s are still on the road?
You wanna pull out the crap argument uh well lets see here toyota for example throttle sticking brakes not working massive recalls. Yet American cars just keep getting better and better while people finally start to see the truth that Toyota sucks. Chevy Cruze brand new car see it everywhere already people love it. Chevy Impala and Malibu still relatively new and see them every place you look. Obviously the "crap" American companies are doing something right. The new big trucks are owning everything out there I can't even count how many I see a day, but the yota trucks I see less than 5, same with the Nissan trucks. You noticing something here LRD? The proof is in the sales and the amount of "crap" american cars still on the road today

The Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan are both made in the USA you idiot. 8-|

What's even laughable is a good portion of the F150s are made in Mexico and Silverados in Canada. I:I

Of course you see trucks.......you live in the country with farms. I live mostly in downtown Columbus, OH where you only see people willing to spend for quality cars, and a truck is almost non existent as they are just a pain in the ass to drive, get terrible gas mileage, and serve no purpose. Like I said......if I need a truck, it cost me $20 to rent one from Lowe's. Other than occasions like moving........I never need one.

Women love big vehicles because they know they are going to crash and like doing the killing instead of being killed. I know first hand. ;)

Well rallying is a little different than "off road" like situations where you have rough terrain or 4x4s(why are you there anyways?) :-/

I actually had a friend's WRX out quite a few times this past winter with some Blizzaks.......now that's a good time. I:I

So let me get this straight?........you admit I'm right.......then turn around and say I'm full of BS? :-/ 8-|

You're exactly right.......and I never made that argument. I:I

2008 Chevy Malibu LTZ with only 7000 miles on it.
a7692986.jpg

These and other basic dimensions come straight from GM's Epsilon chassis that the 2008 Malibu shares with the Saturn Aura. So it's no surprise that our top-level Malibu LTZ carries the same 252-horsepower 3.6-liter double-overhead-cam V6 with variable valve timing that we've seen in the Aura. Unencumbered by the low-revving pushrods and restrictive two-valve heads of last year's 3.5-liter GM V6, the LTZ sprints to 60 mph in an energetic 6.6 seconds, finishing the quarter-mile in 15.1 seconds at 92.9 mph.

I will say, the "americans" have vastly improved recently in their cars. The styling, quality, and pretty much everything has vastly improved. I love that color by the way.......10 years ago, you wouldn't have been able to buy a car like that with a nice eye popping color. Factory rims look nice too. I:I
