Looks rather nice. I prefer two strokes, although I have debated getting a YFZ450... I like them quads a lot and the way they ride. I've only ever riden a TRX450 once and I couldn't really hit it hard. Nice purchase.
2 suggestions about it..... Gripper seat cover and header wrap. A trx 450R runs really hot and header wrap makes a huge differance. I put some on mine a LOVE it.. You can ride it hard for hours and turn it off and touch the header pipe and not get burnt. It will be hot but will not burn you. You will love it man.. welcome to the TRX family.
yeah, I gripper seat cover is a must lol.... it is so slick
and I was planning on getting header wrap sooner or later
my main focus right now is getting heel guards, I hate riding without any.
im probably gonna get some of the netted ones
we are gonna put an 85 dirtbike engine in it, and my little cousin is gonna race it in the 90mod class.
and once he is done im gonna turn it back into a blaster
Tusk makes a sick set of nerf bars with heal guards built in for $199 on Rocky Mountain ATV. I know you already have nerfs but you might consider selling them and buying those. I can't wait to hear what you got to say when you get in on the track and I'm kinda wondering what the lap times will be compaired to the Blaster. It's going to take some getting use to with the extra power and TQ with the TRX. Mine jumps really well and it's an XC setup so I'm not really setup to take big jumps. Now all you really need as far as motor work goes is a good ported head and you'll be set for a really good MX bike.
