Jeeps are alot of fun and you can get parts easy. Let me know if your four wheel drive is not working, there is an easy fix for it and its a common problem, it has to do with vacuum on the front axle.

A long time ago, back in the late 90's, my dad had a YJ? ...Sahara model, (it was tan colour) ....it was our "winter beater", I think it was rusting really bad to begin with, but it was great back in the bush,...I was still not big enough at the time to reach the pedals. I love jeeps too, cheapest 4x4 you can get really.

jeeps are cool and im thinkin about getting one for my first car to drive, well my first car to drive, we have a 53 willys wagon thats a project but pretty cool

why would you put a 305 in em? does a 350 not fit? and if i where to stay around a 305 id for sure go for a 302 a lot easier to build and cheaper to get more power out of....

on the toyota questions, a 305 ,350 are most common to put in and have a lot of aftermarket support, for example you can go to www.downeyoffroad.com and buy a kit to swap in a chevy
but there arent really any kits available for ford swaps
and some people in vt have put 454's in with no problems

huh well i dont think i would put a 305 in one just because you cant get as much power for the price, id rather put a 350 in it. did you know they actually use the same block but they have diffrent bores and cranks? pretty neat:-D:-D

im sorry sir but you are wrong..
the 305 had a 3.736 bore and a 3.48 stroke
the 350 had a 4.000 bore and a 3.48 stroke
so same crank wich is pretty cool..
the only thing that was different between the 305 and the 350 were the heads everything else was the same pretty much now thats cool haha..

and the funny thing about the ford 302 is that gm also made a 302 and the chevy 302 made more hp then the ford 302 ever did.
the chevy 302 was conservatively rated from the factory in the 60's at 290hp when in realality the chevy 302 put out around 375hp..they did that for insureance reasons..
the hp # that ford ever mustered from thier 302 was in the boss rustang wich was 290hp ass well but that was an accual reading...

just a little history for you all hahaha

305 head's have 58 cc chamber's 350's have 74 cc's.If you put the 305 head's on the 350 the comp. will be about 11.5/12 to one

and for the 302, in 69 the insurance compaines wanted to charge more for any car that had over 300 hp and the Boss 302 had around 350 HP and race versions made close to 450 HP and that, i dont think any chevy did :) :)

But they aren't the same, they are balanced different so if you swap them you WILL feel it in you but!

ANY! engine would be an upgrade from the stocker 4cyl, a STOCK 4.0 will walk all over the most modded 4 cylinder!

Then the 383 has a bigger stroke... Correct?
