Na I've taken my friends old 440 pantera with metal skis on pavment, won't stop ya but I still wouldn't do it....

I was going to try and make a set i have and old pair of leafsprings from my off-road days and if i take the second leaf out it is about 29" long is that too short? they have a curve in it already.

i have 2 struts that came with the skis. but i have no way of mounting them anywhere, plus the bungie cord would resist a little when i turn. a strut wont let me turn. cuz the have to be on the frame somewhere, they cant be on the bracket.

my bros phazer2 is really font heavy with a bald track and if he stops on ice or pavement he wont get going again lol.

i would make the strut go to the a arm with a pivot in a triangle, with a spherical bearing on the outside.it would hold the hub stationary for you and allow it to turn

I would use that as a mock up and build the real ones out of better material. that looks like shelving stock, which has the tensile strength of warm dogchit. you will probably bend them.. good idea though!

that just kinda hold it in place. the weight is actually all on the steel plate. but if i get some better stuff i might,

i dont think hes planing to jump or race mx with them so i dont think they need to be as strong as diamonds

after assembling a metal shelf today, i hope that stock is a ton stronger than this stuff, i could bend it by hand

i dont really wanna take a chance of it breaking so i told my dad that when he goes to get some more material to pick up some thicker stuff. ill get more pics when i have both done with the new material.
