my homemade ski conversion kit.

i am gonna be rippin in snow this year. i already got wome sweet paddle tire, i wanted to get the ATski kit off ebay but i figured i would make my own. i olny had enough material for 1 side so far but i got it done. i can probly make the other side in 15-20 minutes if i had the parts, most of the time i spent was "thinking" time. anyway heres a sh*tty phone pic. i can get some better one from a camera tomorrow. it really strong, cant wait for SNOW!!

and now i got 2 sets of suspension lol, sice i decided to use the leaf spring that was on the ski.

man its hard to explain how i dd it since its just for these specific skis, when i get better pics you will understand.

well the not universal there made for these skis. im sure any old style metal ski will bolt up but the new plastic ones are a different design. but you have to re-arrange the order of the mount on the ski to get it to hook up to the bracket properly.

here is my good camera pictures for you guys, what do ya think?
only thing im changin is those 1/4 inch bolt clamping the ski to the bracket are gonna be 3/8 bolts. i just didnt have any right now.

wow that looks super heavy. about how much does it weigh?

not enough that i will notice it, not even very much more than the tire. if it had plastic skis it might even be lighter than the tire. i also dont want to take a chance of it breaking.

the tire can roll, this isn't rolling. it will make a difference in the snow, you want to sit on top of the snow, not sink.

ya but figure, most sleds are much much heavier than my banshee even with those skis on and they manage to float pretty well. im sure it will be fine.

That's a cool idea, so the ski's are metal? Man if you hit a patch of asphalt spark shower! That would be cool to see! Oh forget it your up in Canada one it snows it stays!!

i am going to bungie cord the fron and back of the ski somewhere on the frame. it wont have much pressure they are just there to stop it from flopping when im in the air. im not locking my brakes on all winter.

i got runners on the botom that dont spark. i would never even cross a road on bare skis.
