My ghetto 1 day revamp ( lots o pics )

Wet sanding sucks , I know, but you can't take any shortcuts. The amount of prep will determine how good or bad the final result will be. I've seen way to many people just grab a can of paint and shoot it on top of dirt and grease and then complain when it chips off. Hang in there . I've wetsanded my mustang by hand before and it really sucked so I didn't think the blaster was too bad.

Took a lil longer than expected...but just finished my last coat of Clear Coat...u were RIGHT ON...2 cans of primers, 3 paint and somewhere b/n 6-8 coats of CC...hopefully gonna start puttin it back together tonight...post some pics when I'm done.

I think this came out bad ass actually... I don't have a blaster yet, and am not sure if I am going to get one, it's actually between a Blast & a 450R right now...

But seeing these easy paint jobs & quick fixes, I just want to get one as a project now, I swear. Used to have a 2005 that needed nothing, but the one i'm looking at, is in good shape, but could use some paint & clean up.

I'm a little off & would probably paint the frame a dark dark pink (almost red) with hubs to match & black rims. Either that or your daughters idea of neon green, just something that really hits...

Great job...

Thanx
David

Thanks, I really wanted to do a bright lime green frame with white plastics and some project blaster green graphics and a black and green seat with some green grips but my daughter loves lime green and wants her blaster done like that so I did mine blue. I've still got work to do like detail the engine and get some new rear plastics but I'm happy with how it came out and after many , many mud covered rides and pressure washes it still looks great . BTW this is what it used to look like.

All ya gotta do is holler, we ride almost every weekend ( except this weekend because the kids had ball practice and it's a little to chilly today ). The more the merrier because it's usually only my family and a buddy or 2 .
