My CT240 compression test

ive talked to ct many times and even at 175 psi they told me my top was worn and i need new rings.. 115 is way to low for a ct kit the rings are worn believe me or not.
a ct kit right out of the box calls for 106 octane or better. i run 100ll. its 100 octane with some other additives to prevent pinging or detonation 100ll isnt even enough octane for these ct kits but with the proper jetting you can get away with it.

ugh........i know its cheap but i hate av fuel in anything but an airplane

the stuff is oxygenated to run at altitude, it just doesn't work as well as the proper fuel would.

this is what ive always thought too, 175 on a ct kit minimum. last time i checked i had 157lbs on my stock bore setup.

Ya bro I'd say your ready for a ring job a least. I'm gonna get a compression test on my new chit tomorrow after the last break in and I bet I'm up to 150- 160ish.

Is that a blue submarine, no it's 79Bronco!!!
