my blaster drives backwards

anyone have any idea why my blast when i put it in gear it drives backward and will not go forward. it will go threw all the gears like normal but in reverse and i know there isn't a reverse on it. anyone have any ideas?

lol i had that prob. its a sheared woodruff key. just replace it aND U R GOOD TO GO.

yup. 2 strokes dont have valves, so no matter which way you spin the crank the process is exactly the same with only one difference- spark timing. you can actually start your blaster by push starting it backwards with stock timing, it just doesn't have much power b/c the spark is timed for power rotating the other direction (advanced normally, so it would be delayed running "in reverse")

so if you shear your flywheel key (or rotate the stator so its way off) and happen to land the spark at the right spot, you can actually kick it, it will spark and push the piston back the other way, then run in reverse...

haha one time i was going up a hill and i was in to high of a gear, i stalled it theni started rolling backwards and i popped the clutch and gunned it , almost threw me over the handle bars because it went in reverse, i thought the bike was f*cked!, i just turned it off and started it again, has been good ever since
