Here's a thread of my 1999 blaster build. it's already had an engine rebuild but I wanted to do a little more to it...... Enjoy

Well I already bought all the parts for it. Here's the list of things I bought 'Diamond J widening kit' 'tusk rear hub extensions' 'trinity racing 38 mil carb with race air filter' 'XFR Nerf bars' 'maier hood and tank cover' and the only two things I have to order is pro tapers and bead locks rims

Nice list of mods and parts. Is your cylinder ported? A 38 mm carb is very large for a blaster. They can be ran on high hp motors but stock porting and stock pipe you will most likely lose some power.

Ive seen a lot of those widening kits on ebay and they are deff cheaper than buying new a arms. do they do anything besides make it look cooler. does it effect the suspension and give it more travel. i undrstand it gives it a wider stance but it seems mostly for looks?

Ya it's got head work I've got it bored 20 over and a high compression Wisco piston with a full dg pipe

The Diamond kits work very well, definatly make the bike much more stable.

On the down side, bump steer increases but can be controlled by toe adjustment.

That bike looks really nice for the mods you have done to it. Who did the engine work? I do have some suggestions though, get rid of that 38 mm carb, just jet the stocker. And get a pipe that actually lets that engine breath. You are losing a lot of power running a restrictive pipe and large carb! What kinda air box are you running?

dg pipe bad? im currently running one...:( id hate to have to get a new pipe with so many other issues needing fixed first

Looks nice, and yes, be-rid of the 38mm carb. Only two people on the forum have run those, and they are probably the heaviest modded engines...

Currently stock but I'm probs gonna cut it out and put a race filter in it
