MUSCLE Vs. IMPORTs

No sh*t!, my '68 Rambler American has a 370c V8 in it that's pumping out 520HP, haven't been beat in that yet either!
Even my Jeep Wrangler is faster than all of them crappy ricer Honda's, one cut me off one night coming home , that garbage can on the tail pipe told me he had his foot to the floor! so I hit the brights (GOTA! LOVE! them 90/130 H4 "E" code lights!!!) and stepped on the throttle, didn't even shift down and had to back out of the throttle so I wouldn't rear end him!
If they'd put half the $$ in the engine that they have in the stereo then maybe they wouldn't get laughed at so much!8-|

There's a difference between a ricer and an import. Ricers are all show and no go. I drive an 07 civic si that is bone stock and I love finding kids with ricers and just eating them alive. My baby is my dsm. i'm running 13 sec. at 18lbs of boost. It isn't loud, doesn't have a loud stereo(it has no stereo at all), it has no body kit. It's a sleeper from hell. My paint is chipping and it has dents but for the $2000 i have into it I can smoke almost everyone around. O yeah that $2000 was buying the car and rebuilding the block. It came with a new head when I bought it. I have a few go fast parts I've added.

The nice thing about imports is the reliability when they are built right.

my bud's 06 GTO with nothin but cherry bomb exhaust and some crappy aftermarket headers was running 12s or so
 
anybody here like the muscle trucks? chevy ss454 or the ford lightening them little trucks pack some mean horsepower

i always wanted a 454ss they are bad ass, not all that much horse power but a sh*t load of torque, and at RPMs so low that it would make diesels say wow. don't forget the the GMC typhoons/cyclones and the Dodge little red express, the grand pappy of all muscle trucks.

a guy around lawton uses a little red express to tow his drag car to the track, and 454s (actual engine) runs nice, my bro uses one in his offroad truck

i knew i was forgeting one.. anybody watch trucks on spike when they did the build of the ford lightnening and 454ss.. they are sweet to ride in though they put you back into the seat with easy but them 454ss only get like 8mpg haha who cares when you kicking little rice burners and there stereos

for drag anyway, i am full on most imports will take a muscle on track, depends on which though

yeah i tried to fallow the build up of those trucks, i think i would have gone another way with the mods on those trucks, that show has sucked as sence the old host left.

you have to remember the lightning was, what 6 rears newer, there were a lot of advancements in fuel injection, suspension, and such, for those truck engines in the 90's.

DSM - $2,000 dollars and runs 13s

so if what your say is true and the DSM owner puts another $38,000 dollars into his car, your buds gto will still beat him? lol i don't think so

if give or take means about 22-24 grand then sure

ya when stacy was the host of trucks it was sweet now he hosts a show on speed called gears.. couldnt have said it better but i really dont think chevy tried to make it like a circuit race truck it was more just to say i have a 454 s-10 and i can stomp your truck

$40,000 GTO you have to be high try mayby 20 for the 6.0 plus a few hundred for a good tune.
