Has anyone tried muritac asid in there cylander? if so how did you do it and how did it work?

Why would I do this? I have heard of cleaning a tile floor with it. Not using it on a cylinder.

people have done it! it cleans out the cyclinder to put a new piston in it

I use it to clean brick/masonry. I wouldnt use it on a cylinder. Soap and water work just fine and will harm nothing(including yourself).Just oil it as soon as its clean.

it works good for removing cleaning the cylinder walls. it was recommended to me by a excellent powersports shop. definitly gotta wear a mask when using it though. and i used a Q-tip

I would include thick rubber gloves with that mask.This sh*t is no joke.

Soapy water has cleaned cylinders just fine for lots of people on here. I wouldn't mess around with acid if you don't need to. Just my opinion

idk, i agree with yamaha28, i'd just use a good soap like dawn or something.

he is talking about melted piston material. I would just use those long wooden Qtips
