Move to america

Stay away from PA then, i sh*t you not. When it snows there it never quits and dont leave till the damn spring it seems like. There winters seem to get more brutal as time goes by.

nooooo sirrrr. a few years back we did not eve have snow here and what we got stayed for maybe a day

Here is my opinion.I live and have lived in Massachusetts my whole life.I have been to PA and although it has it's perks I am not a big fan.I like living in New England (MA,RI,NH,ME,CT,VT) we never have hurricanes or tornadoes. We get all 4 seasons, although winters can be brutal.Work is strong and jobs pay well, good colleges, hospitals, etc I do however plan to move to NC once my kids get out of the house(15 more lol) I like NC alot from all my visits I have had.You get the 4 seasons but their winters are not nearly as bad as here.Although they probably get a bit more rain??If the jobs paid what they paid here I would be there already.NC to MA is a big difference in alot of different ways.Just do some research and choose wisely.Stay out of the ghetto!!!! haha

I'm with mmajay on living in North Carolina. I moved OUT of Texas a little over a year ago to get away from the brutal heat, droughts, wildfires, stuck up SOB's who can't drive, and various other factors, which I won't discuss here for fear of coming across as racist and starting an argument. B)

THAT SAID, NC has 4 pretty well defined seasons with maybe 2-3 big snowfalls per year, if that. Its comfortable most of the year, you can't beat the scenery, the beaches are beautiful, and the sun shines most of the time. Plenty of places to ride, too. Just don't try to deal with the DMV (Dickpartment of Motor Vehicles) unless you have every little piece of paperwork in place first. I'd rather have a tooth pulled than try to transfer a car/truck/motorcycle title here, but oh well, you take the good with the bad I suppose. Cost of living, at least where I live, is very low, too. Lots of jobs don't pay very well so watch out for that, but if you can find good work, you've got it made. Most of the people here are easygoing, too, and you don't have to know Spanish to fit in with the culture. (Try THAT in Texas! :o)

My .02. Move where you want; Its your life afterall! But we'll welcome you here with open arms and I know mmajay, sicivicdude, myself, con8quest6, and a few others will show you around! :D

but most of the big names are in pa hahaha. WE GOT slick, awk, tater, xkron, me, noober, freek used to live here, Zwiser, 98blasterboy, much much more

You PA guys can have all that snow.

gee thanx jay, i was hoping our canadian brothers would keep it to themselves this year

i've wondered for years what the hell i'm still doing here
my ex used to biotch about me not shoveling snow, i bought her a pair of boots to solve that problem

if there is a thing called Amerika by then, well, i say come to NC as well. we have great schools, but you'd better be near a city because there ain't sh*t for jobs out in bum f*ck egypt.

plenty of things to do here and plenty of places to ride. oh yeah we have Busco too lol.

sup guys !
im now nearly 16 i plan on moving to america the same year i finih school ( i will be just 18) i know i need visa's and stuff but how do i go about getting one? what exactly do i need? im thinking kentucky ,PA ,NY or NJ which would be the easiest for work /collage and cheapest for living? etc ... thanks

Are you coming just to work for a while? Staying for college? Massachusetts certainly isn't cheap but there are tons of irish immigrants here, I just got off the phone with a guy that I'm lining up work with for next week and I could barely understand him his brogue was so thick!! I know a few people off the boat as we say, and there is a large community of immigrants that stick together. you would have to go to customs building in boston to get the visa....never gotten one myself. I can't tell you how many people I know that are recent immigrants, but my best friend's step father is known as/refers to himself as "John the Irishmen."

MA and New England in general has tons of good colleges, many of the best in the country and even the world are right here...but again, not cheap. I would definitely recommend visiting here, although the state is too liberal and the idiots are locking up all public land for the city folk....not cool. I know people from europe in general aren't usually into rural life...more into cities and such. I recently brought a visiting friend from germany to the town agricultural fair....what a trip. He couldn't believe that a smoking hot girl was racing a lawnmower, was dumbfounded that people modified lawnmowers just to race them (he only knew of F1 racing) and didn't understand why people had heavily modified trucks and were trying to make them go through a big long mud pit!! He did seem to enjoy the demolition derby though!!

I've heard that the housing for international workers at disney world in Fl is like the best place to get laid in the country, FWIW, haha. The job probably sucks though.

my advice would be to stay living right where you are. this country is goin in the crapper at an alarming rate. sure there are places that we all think are better to live here, but the truth is, it's getting tuffer for everyone. the unemployment rate here is just crazy, you move here and you stand a good chance at being left without work. besides that, it wont be too much longer before we become the "United States of China" because our government seems to have become addicted to borrowing money from them that we cant pay back. if your really wanting to move out of your country, i'd look into Australia, i'd love to live there myself.

^ this countries already gone ,alot worse the the US (check unemployment rates),irelands alot worse.my brother is moing to aus in a few months ...thanks for the replys guys as i said i hope to go over this summer for a holiday i may visit the places mentioned (pa,ny+nc) ,thanks again

I vote for Cincinatti Ohio it's close to some tracks/trails parts supercenters as big as a walmart or good sized department store. You can get to the city in 20 min it's near the highway if you need to plan trips. I dont know about employment but the schools in Northwest Ohio are really good and also have trails and a couple tracks. and I live 5 hours away from the western version of glamis Silver Lake Sand Dunes are absolutely insanely awesome. In ohio it's mostly trade schools and a good amount of colleges just type in ohio educationNew york in my opinion is overcrowded and expincive to live there PA's unemplowment is nearly as bad as wissconsion and ohio's will be as bad as michigan's if by some plague we pass Senate bill 5
