Mounted steering stabilizer (with picture), easiest way to test?

Mounted the new streamline steering stabilizer on my GF's blaster:

I live in a suburban neighbourhood, so what's a quick and easy way to test it?

Go over a curb diagonally? Should I notice it working at all by just turning the handle bars quickly while not in motion?
 
Lift the front end off the ground and support it.

Slow to normal turning of the bars should not be a problem, grab at them and try to turn very quickly, they should show more resistance the harder you set the stabiliser setting.

yep, that should show results, the harder/faster you, or a rock/log, try to turn the bars, the more the stabilizer reacts

try to learn to push the opposite bar to turn, instead of pulling the right/left bar to turn that direction, as you now will not have to have a death grip on the bars as you used to, to keep them from getting ripped out of your hands, the new stabilizer won't allow that

i usually run mine on a middle setting, then lean forward and crank it full tilt in certain rough stuff
one of my favorite mods on my bike, and i have it mounted just like above, i'd have prefered amining it backwards and out to one side, but my airscoops prevented that

Your blaster has a boner! Perfect mount! I'll be doing the same when i get to that point!
 
i'd face it backwards off to one side (opposite side from pipe) to keep it out of harms way if i could have

i'm always worried the first tree i hit is gonna get ram rodded !!!
my iron cross bumper protects it a little better then the dg i had before,
but it's out there exposed to possible erectile dysfunction causing damage
 
That's a good mod to have, I'm thinkin about doing it soon myself. I would mount that backwards tho if I were you.

Yeah.....real soon I'm gonna get the billitanium one off of ebay. After putting a $200 CCP stabilizer on my YFZ, I felt like it's paid for itself just after a couple hard rides. What a difference!

I emailed streamline about it and they do NOT recommend mounting it like that because they say, the heat from the engine will heat up the oil inside, causing it to not work as well. Secondly With the stock type streamline mount, its nearly impossible to mount that way because two frame pipes meet there, you need a small ring mount like in the picture.
 
I mounted mine to the side, it sits about 2" from the pipe and never gets hot.

It is very handy having it to the side as I can adjust on the fly, to accomadate different terrain.
 
When I raise the front wheels off the ground, I dont really notice that much of a difference in resistance between turning the handlebars slow and fast. There is a noticeable difference between the settings though (the 7th setting being quite noticeable when turning slow).
