mixed gas

like the gas is dark puple? i mix the same thing, 2R with 93, and mine is never dark purple, it looks that way in the can ecause of th shade, but when i pour it it dosn't look purple, i looks like gas, kinda darker i guess.

Well it doesn't matter anyhow, it wont start anyways..... Guess i gotta check the spark, then the wiring.... Wait till the kids go to bed so the wife can give me a hand checking the spark....

We will see i just wanna break this thing in, but it wont fire, just can hear it turning over, its getting gas, i know cause the carb is overflowing a bit out the drain line on the side that faces the back....

Yeah when i pour it out in the snow its almost black/dark purple color.... I just thought it was supposed to be greenish....

probably flooded, pull the plug and i bet dollars to donuts that thing is soaked. is your float stuck?

The plug wasnt soaked, it was fairly dry, had an oily substance on it, but not flooded or soaked....

Filled 2 gallons of gas in the can, and dumped in 8oz of 2R yamalube.... Shook the sh*t outta it for about 4 minutes, does that sound ok?

I know the motor runs, (or so the guy on ebay said it was fresh rebuild on a running motor), but i have yet to test the CDI, Coil, or plug wires, not sure how the wiring is either, could be messed up somewhere all i did was ground my green wire on the coil where the black one was grounded and hooked the other 4 wires in and thats about it....

how many times should i feel the piston rotate with the kicker? It feels like it is "turning over" twice or 1.5 times, its also hitting the guard on my foot rest, on the down stroke.... But the motor doesnt fire, only turns over....

Floats prob. stuck somewhere ill fix that tomorrow, just want it to fire tonight....

If the key is missing, i should just unplug the two wires from the switch and leave them apart correct?

Cause when i just went and looked someone had them connected, but i dont have the key so i should just unplug the wires, tape em, and try to start it?

Also, since i dont trust this ahole i got it from, if the kill switch doesnt work right when i go to shut it off, (dont know its condition) how else can i kill the engine?

the yamalube i got with my blaster is a purple color... well on my garage floor is is, leake dwhen iwas taken the injection off, my klotz techniplate mixed with gar is like alight pink/ red color

BTW clown... your avitar pic... thats the same helmet i have expect red flames

the yamalube has a strange tint to it... i dont use it anymore, i use a diff type of oil.. but uhm, if i recall correctly.. the gas when mixed with yamalube stuff, it was lighhhht purple.. not dark.. maybe you mixed too much oil in, by measuring wrong ? somethingg. because it shouldn't be as dark as you are stating it is

The stuff I use is caller "Super M" It has a redish tint to it and dosent seem to change the gas color at all kinda worried me but it fine...

Have you checked your wiring to make sure you have the wires hooked up that the bike switch in in the Run position? This wiring is a pain in the butt fo sho. You have the link for the Service Manual right?

Yeah its a little bit lighter then it looked last night, but its still purplish.... I should have mixed it up good, shook it for like 5 minutes, never have any probs. with my chainsaws....

Yeah i got that helmet a couple of months back on eGay for like $30 shipped, its real nice, it matched the color scheme i had on my trike before i sold it...

Got the wires hooked up like i think they should be (4 wires matched up) and then i grounded the extra green/white wire to the coil where the black wire was grounded at... (03+ motor on 96 body)......

I went and picked up my pocket meter from my dads house lastnight, ill have to go through it today and see what i can find, im sure its something stupid like a bad coil or something....

i got the bike from a piece of sh*t scumbag, who took all sorts of sh*t parts and put them on there to "make it look complete" before he sold it to me, kinda like when he said it only needed a top end then i realized once i scraped the grit and grease from the bottom of the crankcase there was 3 giant holes in it, that he smeared grease on and painted over so i wouldnt see them..... But its coming together and i bought a new motor for it, so i just want to ride the sh*t outta it after just dropping almost $800 in parts to "fix the rigged up mess" he had on the bike!!

Wish me luck! I:I

Ive got the "key" switch un hooked and just taped apart (thats correct right).....

Tested the kill switch, primary coil, secondary coil, source coil, pickup coil, and they all tested in range as the manual states.....

What should i check next? I have the tors removed (or so i was told) how do i check the wiring on that? Installed a idle kit and oil block off kit.... etc etc.....:-/:-/

Well the whole "tors" unit is removed for sure, but i dont know if there were any wires they left behind or anything like that, the unit is gone from the carb, but as far as anything else from it, i could not tell you, not sure what is what....

Isnt there some wire your supposed to tape to another wire when you remove it, maybe that was never done??

Had the wife come out with me while i tested the spark, it has good blue spark and the stop switch is functioning properly.....

It is getting gas to the carb like i said before because it is overflowing a bit.....But the plug seems dry, do you think its not getting fuel to the motor?
