Hello.. new to the site but not the blasters.. I just wanted to hear your guys input on this vm 34mm round mikuni. The blaster it would be going on has 4 boyesen ports, remaped intake windows huge lol, triple exhaust ports, stock bore & stroke, & the bolt ons.. Just need a base map setting for pilot & main Thanks alot. I:I

might be a little to big, unless you have a crazy port job. Then again it would work but you would suffer low end power but have lots up top.

Well it is a round slide carb.. Its all about tuning that low end & getting the pockets out. I just see everyone runnin airstriker & pwk wanted something diffrent.

so your motor is ported also? if so i dont think u will have any issues with it, im fine with my 34mm

only one i know running a 34 mikuni is ken (oconnor racing) < on here
maybe shoot him a pm,
i also run a similar ported setup with a 34 pj

my lil bro ran a roundslide 34mm mikuni on a triple ported 175. it had all kinds of top end. I think it'll work out great for u. let us know what jetting u used, i have 2 of those carbs and one will end up on a blaster we just picked up. who ported the cylinder? if u did what method did u use? doesnt exist without pics, lol

LoL your right.. I was going to take pics but im that type of guy who hates takin pics lol. I went with the boyesen ports everyone only does the two bottom i went ahead & did top & bottom. Also the center top boost port has been comepletely opened up from side to side top to bottom. I followed ken onconor on the exhaust port & transfers, I raised the intake windows pretty much to the max limit with out knockin the whole thing out. Triple ports 3/8 size drill bit is the hole size & was opened up with a carbide burr. Man your triples look really nice...I:I

Yea & thanks for the info on the mikuni 34mm round. i will deff let you know the basemap of tuning i will run....

thanx ! we got the carbs off a couple 350l trail boss's they had like 200 mains in them. Ive been considering the top boysens on my next one.

Yea i noticed a big increase in the low to mid range.. I ported my brother in laws blaster all i did was the 4 boyesen ports thats it & it felt way better in the low to mid. I love these blasters! im 26 & would rather have a blaster with like a kx500 engine then a banshee lol...

have u tried 2 at the bottom and then added the 2 at the top? just to see?my lil bro just traded a 78xl250 dirt bike for a bone stock blaster. we r planning on doing one mod at a time just to see how each one adds up.

Yea thats what i mean by 4 boyesen ports... My brother inlaws blaster is bone stock with fresh rebuild all i did was 2 worm holes up top & 2 worm holes on bottom & felt a huge boost in the low to mid rangeI:I

I would deff just do it one by one like you said to see the diffrence. I love my ass dyno & i know how to use it lol..

One thing i forgot to mention.. once i did the four boyesen ports the blasters clutchs started to slip from the extra power or toque it created.. Those clutchs never sliped when it was in stock form lol..

Just to let you know ken suggests a flatslide 34tm not a roundslide. many use the tm34 for port work but I have never heard until now of using a 34 roundslide
