i have been wanting to get a bigger fourwheeler but don't have the money all at once so i have been thinking about building it from the ground up. i found a frame with the swingarm, upper a arms but not lower, steering stem, and back brake caliper. he is asking $50 for it and he lives about 2 hours or so away. i asked him for pics and may be going to go look at it soon. does anybody have any opinions and info on warriors?

say no to that..........................

4 stroke bikes are expensive as hell to go from ground up...

if you find a running riding one that needs a little TLC, that's one thing, but a basketcase like you're talking about is just a bad idea IMO

well guys everything for a 250r around where i live costs an arm and a leg and everything i see for a warrior does not. plus i've been wanting a 4 stroke racing quad and a 300ex didn't feel right and 400ex was too expensive. i'm going to look around and see if i can find cheap 250r parts because i have been wanting one of those but would still get a bigger 4 stroke sometime in the future.

well a used 400ex would cost way less than building a warrior from the ground up and a 400ex would probably still beat it

having owned a built warrior, i say get something else. they dont make lots of power, they dont handle good. you will find out quick they are not fun to own. i had to work on mine all the time, just stupid little sh*t too. had to adjust the valves all the time.

well i looked at some 250r stuff and found a frame that comes with swingarm and steering stem and couple of other things for 150 but not sure how much it would be to ship it. also found a arms for 25 dollars so i will probably try building a trx250r instead. thanks for the input. also if you guys know a 4 poke that i could build from the ground up for not alot of cash i would appreciate it.

400ex would be your cheapest and best bet for a 4-stroke. then a z400. all 450 will be costly, and other 4-strokes are not worth it.

they were the race quad till yamaha and honda made the rule change to being able to only race quads that were made within the last 3 or so years.

but in amatuer racing people still race them all the time.
