So I just rebuild my 240 blaster so I thought I'd but the vitos uprated base gasket a metal one. But the problem is I can't get it to seal properly! Tried tightening the bolts but don't want to overtighten them! Should I just replace it for the paper gasket that came in the topend kit or put a thin smear of silicone on the metal one? Thanks in advance

I had horrible luck w the thin metal base gasket and like u couldn't get it to seal. they recommend that u use a sealant.Using an old dirt biker trick i ended up making my own thin paper base gasket out of a paper grocery bag and used hondabond on both sides. it was thinner than the vitos, the paper becomes impregnated with sealant and pap
er grocery bags are made strong to hold grocery's. Most would only recommend oem or cometic and i concur these are the best you can buy.

Ok thanks for the replys. Think I'm going to use the paper one that came with the gasket set just to be sure
