Metal body work!

Ive just rebuilt my top end painted the frame etc... I dont want to paint my plastics so was thinking of making some out of sheet steel any fors and agiansts? weight/strenth/safety? has anyone done this... ideas etc...

that's a cool idea. you should make sure the edges are smooth and don't forget to get stainless or aluminum that u could polish up.

then you have to make new fender or bend it back in to place...

Still... a bright, shiny polished-aluminum Blaster would look pretty sweet. I had the same thought, but then again, I'm a glutton for punishment and a perfectionist. If you can do the metalwork, go for it!
