Meachanical Brakes

THe title says it all... i still got em and need some help. I put new pads in a few minutes ago and they will not squeeze against the rotor? my old pads squeezed? Like the brakes arent seized or anything. they just woulnt squeeze to the rotor when i hit the petal? why not?

that ratcheting adjuster in the caliper sucks. it doesn't like to.auto adjust. take the cover off the caliper and screw that big white piece in some until the pads just start to make contact with the rotor. put the cover back on and hit your brake pedal and see how they grab.

mine were already shot when i baught it lol, the guy said it was just pads.. the innerds are shot so i threw those out

i have mechanicals.my old one kept sticking and it was cheaper to get a use one.
one day when im not so cheap ill get hydros.just need a master cylinder to get this polaris rear brake set up

The mechanical fronts and rears worked fine on my 01. I swapped them just because I hate working on mechanical brakes but they can be made to work good.
