LT250R???sR

ok my buddy just picked up a 1986 LT250R that needs alot of work. he asked if i would help him with it and i dont really know that much about them. i know its not the power valve motor aka the silver motor. i just would like to know some more about the engine cause im going to be redoing it. what is the max bore you can take one to, what type of carb is the factory one (the one on it is a mikuni flat slide) i dont know how big it is and just some other basic info about them. yes i do know this is a blaster site i do have one. this my friends bike NOT mine im just helping with it. anyone who has a 250r or knows anything about them i need some help any help would be very helpful. thanks

it should be watercooled an the shop told me you cant bore it???? i had one but i took that motor off an put the honda cr250 d-bike motor bout all i got if it helps ya any

thats funny i found pistons for them up to 2mm over. anyone one else have anymore input on them.

factory carb should be a mikuni flat slide, either 34 or 36mm, I can't remember which size.

well it might g=have nicklesile platein in it so no bore unless re plated

Excuse me but I've owned an '86 & '90 quadracer so I think I know alittle bit about them. Your welcome.

The cylinder's on the quadracer's aren't chrome lined, there a regular steel sleeve and can be bored
