LRD Pipe Jet Setup Question

Hey guys,

Im new here as Ive just changed from a 250 4 stroke raptor to the blaster.

My question Is, I have brought a second hand LRD Pipe and header,

It says to change the pilot jet to 32.5 and the Main to a 310 aswell as change the Needle to a LRD needle. I can get the pilot and main jet but Because Im in Australia, I cannot get the LRD Needle.

Would I need this needle or would It be okay without it?

My other mods are: no airbox lid, 3degs advanced timing, Ricks Hot shot CDI

I wouldn't worry about the needle just yet. See what it wants for a main jet. You should be able to get it in the ballpark with the stock needle. You can order a needle from the stealership that's made to go with 310....I think. I'm not positive on the intervals but certain needles are made to work with a certain interval of jets (for example, one needle will work with 200-270 *just an example, not necessarily accurate*). If you can't get it spot on with whatever main you end up with after messing with the needle, then you should be able to get one from yamaha that will do the trick. But to say that you're definitely going to be running a 310 would be a wild assumption at this point, so who knows if you will really need to change the needle?? Jet it with the main jet, and go from there.
