lost power with new reeds???

I replaced my stock reeds that had a crack in them. I put in the Boyesen pro series dual stage reeds and also took off the air box lid. When i took it out for a test ride it felt like it lost power instead of gained it. I took it out to the local spot and it didnt get any better. Is there a break in period or something? Doesn't make sense...

maybe the removal of your air box lid messed up your jetting? The reeds should be the same performance if not better than your cracked stock.

Possibly both. Try to ajust your mixture. Wait what mixture are u talking about? Fule mixture or your air/fule mixture.

Id say leave your fule mix and work on the air/fule first. If this does not help then you will have to rejet.
