lost a reed/jet needle bent

when out for a short spin saturday when my blasty backfires and dies on me....pushed it back home took carb off and noticed a piece of reed inside the carb.also the needle looks bent,is this something hard to replace/remove??? thx

reeds are really easy never replaced the need or even adjusted it so i couldnt tell you
