local dealer found brand new blaster they thought was lost years ago

hitech yamaha here in billings, mt just uncovered an 06 blaster it's black with purple flames guess it was some special edition they are asking 3400 for it and it still comes with full yamaha warranty and qualifies for yamaha financing just thought i would pass it along would go check it out myself but saving for a yfz

there's a dealership in Oahu that still has a 06 blaster just like mine in the showroom. don't know how much they want for it though. that's what I bought mine for back in 06 new.

only problem is with machines sittin that long.. your gonna spend 3400 on it than have to buy crank seals, possibly go threw the brakes, tires maybe flat spotted.

Naw fed that motor is prolly good to go.
I only saw that because I restored a bike that sat 30 years without the carb or pipe on it.
The motor ran like a top as is.

i think they are smoking the pipe on the price i know they want 3400 who knows how low they would go on it though... you would think after all these years they would have written if off by now and it's just pure profit but who knows. if i wanted another blaster i would just find a trashed one again i only costed me 600 to completely rebuild mine and i think it ranked pretty high on the trashed list even the shocks were rusted to the frame had to cut them off

id clean carb, and replace reeds for good messure

i think there full of sh*t... not like back when the 3 wheelers were hauled and they were cut up.. and a few slipped threw and were found in the back of warehouses

one of the other dealers building's started on fire and hitech bought them out and they had hundred's of of vehicles in crates sitting outside for years from what i was told it was just buried in the pile my brother in law races for them so i'm assuming they wouldn't feed him a bunch of bs about it but who knows i thought it was a bit odd too

in MN new blasters and banshees really arnt that uncommon i know a dealer that has 3 banshees that are the yellow se's that they are just being pulled out of the crates.(as of 2 months ago i was told this). and my friends dad just went and bought an 05 blaster that has been sitting in the wharehouse since they took it off the showroom in 06, chipmonks had been eating the plastics and the filter was gone.
