With riding season upon us here in SoCal, I got my Blaster out of the garage yesterday after it had been sitting since early Spring of this year. I filled up the tank with some fresh pre-mix and the moment I turned the fuel valve on, a slow leak developed that appears to be coming from the valve itself.
Apparently my options are to (1) buy a whole new valve or (2) buy a valve rebuild kit. I'm guessing that the o-ring in the valve has failed and I'm wondering if there's a third and more simple option of just finding a new o-ring, rather than buying the rebuild kit.
Anyone replace just the o-ring with success? If so, where'd you get your o-ring?
I've got a bunch of o-rings in the garage and I'm sure I can find a close match.....but I'm curious what others have done. Thanks.
