Alright so I leak tested my motor, and it was leaking at the gasket where the reeds meet the intake. I bought a new gasket, vleaned the surface real well, leak tested it again, and it's still leaking worse. What should I do? Start it and let it idle a little so the gasket will mate with the metal or what?

I had the same problem. I just put a very light layer of RTV gasket silicone in between the intake boot, reed cage, and where the gasket sits in between the cylinder and the reed cage.

alright i havent leaked tested it yet. i wanna bring the motor a little hotter, then test it, so hopefully it will seat better. but as i was running it, i noticed this sound. it sounds like a piston slap. but idk for sure. i stuck my fingure in the intake, and tries to move thr piston up or down while holding the kick starter, but it dosent move.

this sound ok to u gys?

It is also important that the bolts are tightened to 5.8 ft lb.

They must be tightened gradually, and to the correct tension or the reed cage may warp.
