I'm building a leak down tester, I was wondering what you guys have used to plug the exhaust port? I've heard the rubber piece with a metal bracket but I don't know where to find a piece of rubber? Anything else that can be used?

reports back to me are that the 1-1/8" expandable freeze plugs i've been sending out with my leaktesters work great !

Man I appreciate it guys! I went ahead and took a chill pill and listened to y'all's advice. I'm going to do a leak test. Then I can move forward. So I'll put it together tomorrow. I'm sure I'm going to spend more than if I just bought it from awk but at least it will be a learning experience. Haha
I feel ya, my blaster has been apart for about two and a half weeks!
no secrets here,
1" pvc fitting... 1" pipe to 3/4 thread reducer,
then a 3/4" thread to 1/4" hose barb fitting.

Good on ya for doing it right. Remember to leak test your leak tester! it may have a leak at the fitting joints etc, use plumbing tape at all thread points and gasket sealer where necessary to ensure your tester doesnt leak
