Know anything about gasket maker?

So when assembling my cylinder and head i put gasket maker on the brass squish plate thingy and after torqing the nuts to the head,it sqeezed some gasket maker out around the rim inside the cylinder,will this burn away after i start it or do i need to try to slice it around the edge?

that brass thing is the head gasket i hope you got a new one....and you didnt need to use gasket maker
