Hi, I tried searching this, but where do you put the spring & ball after you remove the kickstarter? Inside the kickstarter by the bolt hole? any answers would be much apreciated, pain n the ass when that thing keeps hitting your leg!Swings back forth back forth.............

There is a pivoting mechanism that connects the shaft to the actual kick lever, it will go in there before you install the kick lever onto it. You put the spring in first, then the ball. After the ball goes in you install the kick lever into that and secure it with the screw.
Exactly.remove the phillips screw from the pivot point and inside is where they go.It's easy to figure out once it is apart.
its all pretty obvious once you see it... flip the kicker to the side as if you are going to kick it and the screw will be facing the front of the bike. remove it. pull the kicker straight up, it may fight you a little. clean the little hole well with a pick or nail or something before you put it back together. works like a charm.
Thanks, I will have to look tomorrow. I take it there is a little hole on the shaft part, not the kickstarter.
thanks for posting this i just got my new spring and ball today in the mail and i was about to search for the same thing
The ball is just a small ball bearing, I have a few I could send ya if I can find them. As for the spring, just look online or go to the hardware store I'm sure they have them there.
i just put a rubber o ring on mine under the kick start lever an it fixed the problem i had to tap down on the kick lever while i put the screw back in but it dosent move any more
