Kickstarter bolt

I've been trying to get my kickstarter bolt off and was wondering if anyone knows if it's reverse threaded? My next option is going and buying an impact wrench. I've tried every way to get it off and it will not budge..

i dont know but it might be reversed because the way you kick it, with a normal thread that would be loosening it, and if it is reversed then it wouldn't possibly come loose when you kick it. just my thoughts.

its a regular thread, push the kicker all the way down hold it there put a socket on it and a cheater bar and apply steady pressure till it breaks loose.

Thanks for the advice but I already tried that, with penetrating oil, but no go. I'll keep trying I guess.

get a bigger cheater bar, mine was a biotch, i eventually found a peice of 1" black iron pipe about 3' long and stood on it, it broke loose, like 305 said the kicker must be all the way down first, i used a ty-rap to hold it down while wrenching

i screwed with mine for quite a bit then had a buddie hit it with the gun and it came off like it was only on finger tight. lol

that thing sticks tight hey...just remember to tighten it properly or else you may send it flying one day when you kick it
