kickstart wont go down.

I have a 2001 blaster with vitos kit to make it a 240cc. I was using it the other day and let my friend use it and it was his first time and he stayed on first gear the whole time. The bike turned off on and i cudnt start it over again. I attempted to kick start it and it would let me kick it over. Then i waited like an hour and the kick start would kick down at all. I took the top end off and the piston and rings look ok. but the rod does not swivel up and down the bottom part of it moves and the rod doesnt move it hit the bottom end case . here are pics of the rod connect to the bottom bearing.

looks like that washer is bent? idk some crank bearing went out idk wat. ur lucky if ur piston is fine but u prob need a new crank. wait for someone else to back me up on this

How much would a new crank cost? What Im i looking at in pricing and how long would it take?

not to step on your toes but unless you got a grand or so for mods leave the 3mil alone.

I have a stock rod you can have for 10 bux you would just have to look into the bottom rod bearing price and thrust washers. the rod is new. but the best bet is just buying a new stock stroke crank but if you decide to rebuild it the offer stands

side note: if you do buy a new crank you should probably still have it cheked by a builder. the new cranks come out of true sometimes. and a stock crank is around 150 bux. not sure on labor. go to kenoconnorracing.com he has prices

Yeah, avoid the stroker crank for now. They are a nice mod, but you will have to get the cylinder ported to match the increased piston travel. Plus, you'll have to re-tune the engine and you just get into more headaches than you may want to deal with right now. Get that stock crank rebuilt or replaced, and keep on riding, if you are wishing to get back at it in a hurry.

both of those are stroker cranks, if you go with a stroker the cylinder needs re ported to match the crank, and you would need a better carb and pipe for it to run well, is it worth it, well yea but its all up to if you have the money, otherwise get a stock crank and go from there, as you already have a vitos 240 i think you should talk to ken oconnor

is it the pic or is there a chunk missing off the counter weight part of the crank too ? i hope your cases are good still. its tight between the case and crank and when there are extra parts floating around in there its usually never good.

can you ? sure. will it be true ? NOWAY. its not as easy as you think there pressed together and there is a jig to hold everything in place while doing so. new crank or good used one. if money is tight there is nothing wrong with used as long as the seller knows what he has. i just sold mine on here last week for 55 shipped. there out there just gotta look. also there is alittle know now to splitting the case. not extremely hard but not for someone thats not mechanically inclined

OK ima purchase the stock crank from ebay. what else should I purchase along with the crank? etc bearing seals..
