kick start question

[LOCSTA]

My kick start only cranks every other kick. When I kick it to start the bike, the first time it just kicks down to the bottom with no crank all loosely :-/ and the second time it will kick and start.What could be the problem?

That's just the beginning. Over time it will just get worse. Most peeps just replace the gears. Check this thread.

I have the same problem. Seems like teeth are stripped or missing. Every now and then i get 2 kicks in row but usually every other kick it works. I dont seehow cleaning some burs off will help though i may try it anyway

a buddy of mine had that problem and it was just installed wrong. the springs weren't in their proper location inside the clutch cover.

i have a picture of the kickstart lever return spring in doityourself.

it is under
vitos blockoff kit part 1

this could be the problem the pictures also show the gears and mine kicks perfect.

Got it fixed. It was the spring.

I Have That Problem but im new to a quad. I need pic or step by step what to do on checking my kick back spring if it aliened right. if anyone can help me
