I've always liked the look of Bar Pads, But with the key in the way i can't really get one. Can i buy a 03+ Hood and switch it over? Are the wires long enough?

I know the Key doesn't really help, when two Teenagers can carry it. But i mostly have it so My buddy's don't take it for a joy ride when I'm taking a leak, and for that little peace of mind.

So can it be done?

I saw a relocator plate that Duncan racing made for the Banshee. Mounted the key under the seat behind the tank. It looked pretty cool. I wonder if you could do that?

that's just a fancy dancy bling part. i don't normall use the kill switch though, i always cut the key off first. whatever lol

You got a key?

At 300 lbs this baby cannot be trusted out of your sight.

Any snot nosed punk with a pick up truck or wire cutter can steal it.
A strong lock on the sprocket and cable it to a tree if you gotta leave it.

Mine is "Key delete option", but I liked the under seat location.
Even better is a more discrete location where you have easy access yet folks watching don't notice you doing something weird.

Yes there is enough wire to reach, I'm using 88-02 wiring on my 05 blasty and had no problems!

Oh and FYI- 2002 wire harness have the wiring for brake lights and also use the newer style connector03+ (white square plug) for the lights/run switch , as opposed to the red 3 wire connector on the 88-01 models!
