Keihin 34mm PJ Help

yes it will work

and you can find them for MUCH cheaper used. you do have to modify the intake boot or get an aftermarket one (the latter being the preferable option)

That would be ideal but I cannot post in the Wanted section - I have been using this site for years for help and How To's but never modded any of my bikes and never needed to ask questions..... Now I'm a little stuck. I have an extra head, jug, and bottom end - got a hole in the case but I haven't inspected it much, for sale on CL and have a Wanted post on CL too.... I'm not getting much response though. Not trying to bend the rules here at all, Just need some parts! I get the motor back from the shop tomorrow!

$145 ???? i'd spend the few extra bucks and get a 33/35 pwk, much easier to tune
trust me, i run a 34pj

Well I must say this is like clock work, friend of a friend saw the post and hooked me up with a 35mm for nothing but a tank of gas to pick it up, thanks again to the guys and girls on this forum, we wouldnt be where we are without each other!!!!

now get you a new 34/35 intake, airbox adapter and get it jetted right, then let er rip

I'm thinking hot water/dishsoap/stretch mod - trying to keep the price down at this point. Need an intake boot though and cant find one local.

in the reducer section, take measurements, my 34 takes a 2.25" at the carb, then measure what size you need for the airbox tube, and order accordingly, get the clamps too, good stuff

Damn, talk about alot to chose from, and I can use this to create just the connection to the carb or all the way to the airbox?

go to the intercooler tubes, prolly long enuf to go the whole way

I think that is what I will do, just run the smaller diameter pipe to simulate the stock tube and then the reducer to the 35mm carb intake...

picked up a 5x6 trailer tonight cheap, but it still took the money I was gonna use for the cfm air box.

u can also shave the inside of the stock intake to make the 35mm work...i have 0 zero probs with mine, alot of guys dont like the idea of doing it, but i dont like the idea of a 60.00$ aftermarket one either

So true! , If ya get a rad valve all it takes is a $16 boot change!! And ditch that stock intake assembly!

Well I just got back from picking up the carb, ended up being of a 250r, Keihin PE 30AWVF which I am guessing is a 30mm.

What are the thoughts on running this carb - its either gonna be this or a stock carb as I cant find a good deal on a PJ or PWK. It will be ran on the 240bb, ported/polished, and power pros header-FMF pipe. Is this thing worth it/big enough? Thanks!

if it ran a 250 it'll work on our 240, jetting may even be close ????
