Just put on a LRD exhaust to get Absolutley No gain in performance

im LRD full pipe= +12WHP. making it 24. cuz the blaster only gets 12ponies to the ground.

PEAK HP: 24 @ 7200 RPM. so i just ordered my LRD System. i ordered a UNi filter and jets with it. try a new filter.

What jet are you running?

beastsr, your jetting is largely dependent on your altitude as well as barometric pressure and ambient temp.
it's very possible that you're running very rich because it's the dead of winter. whereabouts do you live and what's the average temp right now? also, what's your elevation? the higher up you live, the thinner the air is....therefore you'll need to jet down....

you would be fortunate to get even 6 more hp by putting a different exhaust pipe on a stock blaster even if its jetted spot on ,thats like a 25-30% power increase which isnt likely given the crappy 70's port design of a stockjug and its compression and timing being so poor

I doubt I have even made 1hp difference, It seriously doesn't pull any harder then the std exhaust

Im in perth Western Australia, and the average temp right now is around 30 degrees Celcius which is about 86 degrees Farenheight. We are in the middle of summer at the moment.

The Barometric Pressure of Perth is on average around 1000hPa
I think the elevation is around 20m
It says we have an altitude of 0

do the choke trick ,this is where you get the bike warmed up good now putt around the yard leisurely then pull your choke half way out on your carb while riding ,now keep the throttle quarter - half throttle , see if feels like the torque improves or does it feel like it spits and sputters and makes less power on you.. this will help determine if the jet needle needs adjusted

also get a new b8es NGK and do a plug chop(the proper way! ) and post the detailed clear pictures of the plug

Lol, what is the proper way? I just scream it done the road and pull the clutch and hit the kill switch

yeah you guys are o nthe right track ,sadly some people putt around riding for a while and/or use an old plug then they go screaming hit the swtich kil l the bike and wonder why it appears so dark so then they lean the jetting out and fry their topend out of thier own stupidity

145 compression? I don't think that's right, my top end has like 6 hours on it and a high comp gasket kit and my comp is 145...I thaught stock comp was like 120-130

My compression gauge isn't the newest thing ever built but it sure does give me a near enough reading to say my engine is okay

I'll probably be taking my blaster out next weekend :( But I'll take some high resolution shots of the plug chop results then,
