i have this 1988 polaris trailboss that i mess around on. well back in april i ran it though a pretty big mud/water hole and its never been the same since. it just stopped idling. well i went home and left it to die. well about a week ago i thought i would get it running, i clean the carb good and everything and put it back together. well i went to start it and it fired right up but was still not idleing so i adjusted the thottle cable and got it to idle. well today i was just fixing the small stuff on it. after that i ran it around my yard well i was coming up this hill and about half way up my chain poped off and got stuck on the small sprocket. the chain was all the way around the sprocket and it had jamed itself in there and now i cannot get it out. what a way to end up

take the nut off and pull the whole sprocket and tangled chain, and then give it a good goin over, a couple hours af routine maintenece goes a long way

my bro was driving our our dads 92' TRX200d and was running over saplings...well he hit one that didn't bend very much wich made him kina jump it well he pinned the throttle and when the back tires hit the ground the chain flew off the rear sprocket and went through the case and oil started pouring out. We put some "quick steel" on it,and it has held now for 4-5 years.

definately, quick steel way better than old jb weld

You don't set your idling at the throttle cable because when you turn, the rev's will go up and you are not getting optimal performance just my 2 cent
