In the quest to find out why my blaster is idling high when warm i decided to strip the carb off earlier today and re-seal the reed housing with sealant.

Really good job i did as i found this:

Safe to say i now undid all the screws and applied a dab of thread lock 8-|

Yeah the ends are nackard, need to order some replacements as soon as possible.

It was being held on by less that a quarter of a turn :eek:.

Is anyone else running a pyramid reed?
 
To be honest i've not used anything else as i bought my blaster with this reed already installed so i don't know any different as of yet.

Trying to get it running 100% before i add anymore goodies onto it :)
 
I had a set of pyramid reeds, they worked well but not comparable to vforce at all, i sold the Duncan's to my buddy an went with vf4 an wow night an day, my opinion there isn't enough tip surface on the Duncan's
