So as a few of you may know I was struggling to jet my blaster eventually I had enough and booked it in to atv world for them to dyno jet. Got the printout coming next week as the printer had packed in. Before I say the output I'll list my mods:
Airsal 240 bbk standard port, DMC alien pipe, 35mm pwk, ally airbox with k&n cone filter, vitos +3 stroker, Duncan racing pyramid reeds and the DIY timing mod. Ended up having a 50 idle jet and a 168 main with a Dgh needle. So I got 25 bhp at the wheels is this anygood as I'm only used to you guys talking engine bhp! Anyway I gave it a test ride after and left my helmet in my other van (I know before you guys say lol!) ended up spinning the quad on a wet patch outside my work, up the kurb in to the fence! Bit of bent suspension cut face and few bruises later got that to sort now. Anyway bit of a rant over lol

that sounds low to me man, unless the hp ratings are different across the pond. i'd say you should have more than 25hp with all that work.

BHP is the hp being made without any power loss like from your trans and friction and stuff like that. HP is the hp being made with all that stuff so the BHP should be higher than the HP.

But i say that dyno jet number is way off you should be making atleast 30 HP and like 35-40 BHP

No matey got let down by a local builder so never got it done. I heard these airsal 240s are supposed to be good from factory but obviously can always be tidied up, altered etc

yeah thats not too good man.. what did the guys at the shop say, were they satisfied with those numbers? some professional porting would make a world of difference, nothing stopping you from doing a little oconner home port also to free up some extra ponies. i just got this same cylinder and sent it to flotek and he told me yesterday its a very nice cylinder but the stock porting is rather conservative and there is a TON of room for improvements and power gain

the no porting and the current exhaust are keeping that power down, so I would say 25-30 should be right to the ground. Nothing wrong with the dmc system, they do good on stock bore lightly modded bikes, not so well on big bore, big carb setups. A better pipe and some good porting and you should see 35+ all day to the wheels.
