im having problems with jetting. when i stab the throttle fast but smooth it will bog down to the point it will just die. i could stab the throttle and ease off of it a lil until the engine catches up then revs high. i cannot get it to idle either. i have tryed sizes 40 to 70 jets and still have the same issue of it bogging when stabbing the throttle. when i try to take off in gear it will start to go then bogs down and will die. i have to ride the clutch and rev the engine really high to even take off. please help

im havin the same problem with my 34mm, it has a 155 main, but thats not the problem, mine will rev if i turn the airscrew in the whole way, which the keihin info i have says lean pilot, i pulled it, it's a 60, seems way big, yb told me to try a 48, i did and same results
i wouldnt ride it too much or hard till we figure this out, might fry it!!!!

yeah i feel like im chaising my tail man. im not ridding it tho, i just had the port polish and some just done to it. im just now breaking my engine in but while doing it i was atempting jetting but no results :(

man i just took my carb off and i took in mind what 2stroke4ever said. i took off my intake boot, spacer and reed cage and i noticed something weird about the the reeds. come to find out i had the reed cage first then my spacer and then the intake boot on the cylinder. the reed cage pushed backwards a lil causing the two plastics peices to seperate a lil makeing the outside top and bottom reeds to fall out and they were sitting in the bottom of the intake. did this make since for u? i guess that haapined because of the intake boot is suppose to be against the reeds. something like that. thanks man and rep point givin.

Hey dude! I hope you figured it out, then! I, too, have been having trouble with erratic idling on my '05 Blasty after installing VF3 reeds. Come to find out, the stock intake boot would not seal properly against the reed cage. I ordered a Pro-Design billet manifold, doubled-up on gaskets, and have not had a bit of trouble since. Any leaks around the reed cage will indeed make the engine impossible to tune...

yeah thanks man i did figure it out... i seen an ammediate difference man it runs like a scalded cat on crack lol. now i just have some jetting to do and it will rip then.

so what did ya figure out????, and i'm already runnin a pro design intake, gonna throw it back together and use start fluid to check for air leaks???

i figured out the whole reason it would bog everytime i tryed to take off and thats because of the outside reed pedals were laying under the reed cage. that happined because i put the reed spacer after the reeds. the reed cage needs to be against the intake boot so that away it will not allow the reed cage to seperate and then allowing the reed pedals to fall off. next time ur lookin at ur reeds, push the the pyramid part that holds the pedals through the outside or square part. the outside or square part is what holds the reed pedals from coming a loose or falling off. lol sorry i cannot explain the way i wish to but i hope this helps u understand my cituation.

i'm not running a spacer, my clutch arm is like a puddy hair from hitting the carb, didnt need one

i was thinking man that maybe u have an air leak or something. when i was jetting my carb and i tryed all of those jets and no differ, i begin to notice it was more then just a jetting issue.
