Sure. Any time you do something that increases airflow through the motor, you are also leaning the air/fuel mixture. So yeah, typically you "rejet" which usually involves putting in at least a larger mainjet to flow more fuel and richen it up. To adjust for a good airfilter you might try going up a couple sizes, do a plug chop, and check your plug. (and yes the jet size is stamped on it)

lean=hot=seized motor

thanks its runnin rich i think is wet black with black gunk on it what after market parts could i runn to not have to rejet it????

Why do you not want to rejet? It is about a 10 minute job and the cost would be under $5. Really, pretty much any mod you do to increase engine performance may require a change in jetting. Knowing how to read a plug and knowing how an engine should sound and feel are crucial.

better pipe and/or reeds would lean it out a lil but knowing how to rejet is essential for future mods. nothing you add will make your jetting perfect you need to put on what you want then rejet. its easy. hell i just got my first atv a year ago and my first socket and wrench set 6mo's ago and never even changed my own oil before and i can do it. its easy. just takes a couple trial and error runs to get it right. dont get discouraged if it isnt right the first time you adjust it either. i had my carb apart to rejet 4 times before i got it perfect my first time.

would it tear it up if i didnt rejet? and the reason i dont want to rejet it is becusae i have future plans and i thought it might just be a waste of time if im just gonna add stuff to it then jet it again

running lean would blow it up. not sure exactly what running rich woudl do besides make it run like sh*t and go through spark plugs constantly

well ive been runnin it for like 3 weeeks constatly and it hasnt fould a spark plug yet do spark plugs usaully foul faster than that?????

i was wondering what to jet my carb at???? and read my sig cause thats everything i got done to it and the air filter clamps on to the side of the carb if that makes a differences also could i have pics of other people jetting there carbs or a how to???
