Hi, I'm Rob and a few weeks ago I bought a 99 Blaster YFS200 from a friend. Well, I thought it would be a good fixer-upper since my 85 Range Rover has made me hate working on it and the Yamaha could be trucked out instead of driven out to the trails....enough of that. I joined because there is so much stuff that is missing/rigged/or just WTF on this that I want to make sure that I ordered everything and that everything is working the way it should be. It came with the engine rebuilt, new rear shock, handlebars, muffler, oil tank, some sort of aftermarket front clip and bar, brake cable, rear caliper, chain, a home cheese made rear bar, no lights, no ignition switch, headlight switch, a hacked harness, no heel guards, missing screws and bolts out the ass...and I don't know what else. I've been looking all over online to figure out what's missing and I think I have it all ordered but have a few questions about a pilot light and a oil gauge? I haven't taken any pictures of it yet because I don't have any pride in the way it looks at the moment. When I start to get all the parts on I'll maybe start a build thread just to see this thing actually run. whoo. out of words to say....anybody else live in Italy?

welcome! don't be afraid to post pics. there are some of the junkiest looking bikes on here that turn into pearls. missing bolts and stuff like you described are not any major probs. i would not be worried. these things are easy to fix and there fun to work on.

if the new muffler is aftermarket then tell us. because it is not as simple to just bolt it on. theres stuff that you need to tweek and tune.

you have found the right place for all your questions.

as for people living in italy i dont recall there being any. but plenty people are from ireland and places in the UK.

Thanks! The muffler was already on the bike so I don't know what else has been done as far as. I'll pull it out of the garage maybe today because we had a crappy storm come through and I wasn't leaving it outside for it. I have a Papa Roach concert tonight so I hope it get to the Yamaha before that! Woot!

Welcome to BlasterForum bro. Post up some threads and you'll get the help you need. These things are pretty simple to work on. My top end just went out and we fixed it in no time.

Oh yeah, lets see some pics.

damn bro, you speak pretty good "american style" for a foriegner, you wouldnt believe some of the translation we have to do on some of these threads.
but definately welcome to the forum, and post up them pics now, it'll make all your hard work look way more impressive, and close-up pics of some of your troubles would help too < we luv this sh*t on here
i'd be interested in seeing some "italian" riding areas too
ps. know any of my distant relatives over there, surname - - arcuri ????

Thanks all!

I do have problems already. I want to make a rear bracket for the back brakes and I'm going to use the search feature first before I start a new thread. Let me find it first before someone posts a link. If you want pics of the places I go I can show you where I have taken my Range Rover. I'll fine the phone book and see if that name comes up..I'll even scan it in for ya so you can call them. I have pics posted in the pic section already. For now I have to go say good bye to some friend and when I get back I'll upload pics of trails that we take our trucks on that will also suffice for ATV.
