Hello board,

New to this site but not to forums, I’ve been using them since before the internet was invented (by Al Gore) when we used Tigger BBS.

I am a 37yo Christian, Husband, Father of 2. I am a self-employed Software PM/Architect/Developer and work out of my home office for clients all across the US.

Most the bikes I have I just paid a few hundred for and fixed up myself. I love just about anything with an engine (they’re not motors). I have a shop in Massachusetts that I use for personal use to repair, restore, and mod stuff.

I am about to start a 2001 Blaster restore/mod and thought you’d like to see the project. I plan on stuff’n an air cooled KX 250 engine. Of course there will be lots of photos and video!

welcome to the forum. the only real problem with swapping in dirtbike motors is they usually aren't counter balanced which means vibration issues. longer welds on the frame are more important than using thicker metal for the motor mounts on a swap like that, it doesn't do much good to weld a chunk of half inch steel to a thin frame tube lol

That kaw in the pic is classic! Looks brand new. Is that the bike you're going to use or one like it? Either way, welcome!!!
