im pretty sure its time for new chain and sprockets. ii just don't have the money for them right now and were going on a big riding trip soon and wanna know is it rideable? front sprocket looks the same

I fear that the chain and sprockets are well past their use by date.

I would not even dream of riding around the block at any speed for fear of chain breakage.
 
Just noticed my sig quote of yours, you have been tempting providence for a while now and you still have both your legs.

Cases are not the only parts that chains tear up!
 
yeah I been riding it like that for awhile, it just sucks that's its probally gonna be sitting for the dunes trip in august if I cant get those parts, maybe I could get a case saver?

And a new set of motoboots,tow rope,cell phone,and someone on call to tow it back to the truck after the carnage happens..
 
Case sver is half the price of a new set. While bad I've seen (and used) worse. Problem is that there is no easy riding in sand, let alone wanting to have fun. Mow lawns, pick up beer cans.

You may be very lucky and come home from the dunes trip without mishap, but as Larry said, there is no easy riding on sand.

Play it safe and bust your a** and save and work towards a new sprocket and chain combo..
