Is this fix worth it?

im looking to buy this yamaha blaster i found for 300 bucks it says its not siezed up but needs a new piston and crank bearing.... it says this is all it needs but im wondering if the damage that has already been done could have hurt anything else inside the motor..... i am a noob to blasters so go easy

The words crank bearing to me spell, lack of lubrication, or dirt sucked into the intake.

If everything else on the bike is ok, it may be a good buy!

Can't really tell till you get it and take the motor apart. If its in overall good condition, it's worth the money.

the bike is really clean looking the only signs of wear are the front tires so i might try it..

and the guy said the crank bearing was properly lubricated but it was just loose... can this cause anything to go bad?

Do you know what year it is ? Any after market parts ?

its a 2002 and the only aftermarket parts that i know of on it are nerf bars

Depends what caused it!

Be sure to check out the main bearings when the case is split to replace the crank bearing.

Well you see im pretty short on cash and i was looking for a cheap project quad anyways cause i think itll be fun to fix!!!
